Canon Multifunction Printer: Inkjet Printers

Here are a couple of inkjet multifunction printers available from Canon:

  • Office All-in-One Multifunction Printers
  • Photo All-in-One Multifunction Printers

1. Office All-in-One Multifunction Printers

The Pixma office all-in-ones are high-performance inkjet printers that boast of impressive specs. There are several models in this line, including the MX300, MX310, MX700, MX850, and the MX7600.

Canon offers a lot of models so that people with different needs and budget concerns would have options to choose from. For budget hunters, the Pixma MX300, at just $99, is a great choice.

One of this line’s most advanced models, however, is the Pixma MX7600, at $400. This AIO features the special Canon print head technology that uses tiny ink droplets to capture every picoliter of your prints. It also has the 5-color PgR ink system, complete with a high-intensity black pigment ink. The printer can print at a 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution, with borderless capability for true picture look.

And since these printers are made for the office, they are equipped with Ethernet or wireless connection, automatic document feeder, and automatic duplexing. These printers are also known for ease of use and economical benefits, such as energy star qualifications.

2. Photo All-in-One Multifunction Printers

Multifunction printers from Canon also come with photo printing specialty, embodied in their Pixma MP line. Canon has recently come out with new additions to this line such as the MP190, a budget version, the MP240, the MP480, the MP620, and the MP980, to add to the already existing products MP600, MP970, and a lot more. These MFPs have print/copy/scan functions, minus the fax capability of most MFPs.

Since the photo printers are meant for precise color prints, they are backed by Canon’s ChromaLife ink systems. They have models with 6-color inks and 8-color inks. The great thing about these printers is that they include special grey inks and two black inks for accurate color capture.

The inks are also in individual ink tanks, which make up the Canon Think Tank System, for easy and economical replenishing of only the ink that has run out. This ink system is topped by ink sensors to help you be ready for when your inks will run out.

To support the ink system, Canon has their patented FINE technology or Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering print head technology, which enables their printers to produce fine ink droplets with a picoliter size of only 1, 2, or 5, depending on how advanced your chosen model is. This means that every small detail of your prints can be easily captured.

The printers are also fast and can print on anything from plain paper, glossy photo paper, matte photo papers, and even on CDs. The printers can also print with a resolution of 9600 x 2400 dpi, an amazing breakthrough from Canon. And as Canon multifunction printers, they have excellent connectivity. You can print directly from your digital camera or even camera phone with media card slots, PictBridge ports, infrared, and Bluetooth connections.

The Canon multifunction printers also come with excellent scanning and copying specs. The scanner produces high-resolution scans, and the copier is supported by Canon’s unique Dual Color Gamut Processing Technology for true-to-original copies.

Laser printers are economical especially in high-volume usage. Canon’s laser printers are backed with Canon’s Laser Beam Printer technology that promises great printing.

This technology can be found in the Canon imageCLASS multifunction series, which consists of excellent laser multifunction printers such as the imageCLASS MF8180c, MF7280, MF6550, MF6530, D320, and MF3240.
