HP Officejet 6500 All-in-one printer

I have an HP lap top that I have been pleased with, so I decided I would buy an HP printer. I am very disappointed with it. Here's why:

- It continuously alternates between being connected and not connected. There is no obvious pattern.

- Sometimes it simply does not respond to print commands. I have to reboot my computer for the printer to work.

- Sometimes I try to print and I get a notice that the "printer is offline", but it still prints.

- Sometimes I get "No printer found" notices--when the printer driver is fully installed on my computer

- I have received notices that "HP Imaging is Closing" for some unknown reason.

- I have received notices that "HP CUE Status Root" has stopped working.

- I have received notices that "HP Digital Imaging Monitoring" has stopped working.

- I have received notices that the "printer spool is turned off"

- Today a new one: low ink alerts that appear more than once a minute even after I click the off X.

Notice the repeated use of "sometimes" above. I have spent hours on the phone with HP technicians and every effort to correct these problems has failed.
