HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-In-One Printer

When our old HP Printer suddenly gave up, we bought this HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-In-One Printer without any research or evaluation. Since it was an emergency purchase, no canvassing was made. An IT support and I just went over to a printer dealer and bought this unit straight out. We chose from the ones recommended and demonstrated to us; liked what we saw and bought it. The budget allowed for emergency purchases was $500 and this HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-In-One Printer had an original price of $488.00, but was now selling for only $265.00. The IT Staff I had with me had his doubts about the sale price, because it might be an indication that the printer was not reliable. I told him to relax because we're buying an upgraded model of a brand that has served the office well for years.

Soon enough, the HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-In-One Printer settled right into our office like a new employee who came highly recommended. After the brief moment of installations, setting up and configurations, everything was working smoothly again. Although the boss gave us his pre-approval to buy a new printer, I was still a bit apprehensive if this HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless AIO will not let me down.

First off, I'll be hearing from the boss why I bought this model over the cheaper editions with relatively the same features. I decided on this printer because it had a more solid housing material unlike the others which seemed to have a flimsy make-up which I surmised made them cheaper.

Then the boss will scrutinize the quality of the print documents and I heard from his secretary that he was quite impressed that the there's a lot of improvement with the way the documents look. It seems he liked the printed outputs because he kept on nodding and comparing the older prints with the new ones.

Another good feedback I heard is that he is quite impressed that the office now has an extra scanner that can provide almost the same efficiency as the stand-alone unit we're using. Although he still asked if this didn't add much to the cost of the printer.

The boss also learned that the office now has its own FAX machine. This one didn't seem to impress him. His reaction to it was ?what for?? He doesn't seem to see any sense in sending documents by fax if we can scan and attach it to our emails. He said, I might as well have bought a copier machine and so I told him that the printer had one too. To which I received a curt reply of ?Is that so.?

So far, this HP Officejet Pro 8500 has improved office efficiency a lot. The rest of the staff could access the printer right in their own PCs without having to crowd in the section of the room where the printer stood. The printer area used to be an excuse for some staff to stand around and engage in some small conversations while waiting for their turn at the printer or the scanner. A scanning job can automatically go to the folder of the PC who initiated the task. All the more eliminated any reason why the staff has to linger in the printer area longer than necessary. On top of that, there were no wires lying around the floor because of the printer's wireless connectivity.

Paper use was maximized because of the two sided printing while no one has to stand around idle since the machine has an auto document feeder.

I finally got the pat on the back I was hoping for, for buying this HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All in One Printer. The boss mentioned in our monthly meeting that he was pleased with the new office machine and how it has improved not only the quality of our documents but also the office efficiency, for only $265. He thought all along that I used up all the $500 emergency budget on some acquisition that was not properly canvassed.

Thanks to HP for not letting me down because the brand name was what I relied on in the first place, when I decided to go for this HP Officejet Pro 8500 All in One Printer straight out.
