HP Photosmart C8180 All-in-One

I bought this HP Photosmart C8180 All-in-One printer to save me the trouble of having to buy a scanner and a printer separately. To my surprise I got more than what I expected. It had both of these features plus an additional one. I did not expect that it also has a copier function similar to a photocopy machine.

The interface of this HP all in one device is very simple but at the same time very functional. It has a touch screen panel where you can control every aspect of the device. It gives more flexibility to the user since it removes the use of other buttons in the panel. With the touch screen, you can edit photos, set up printing and scanning jobs. This is also great for viewing the pictures in a memory card.

The HP Photosmart C8180 has built in card readers. It can accommodate almost all cards from compact flash up to memory stick units. With all of these excellent features, a rundown of the advantages can give us a clearer perspective of this HP all in one device

HP All-in-One-Printer (Photosmart C8180) Advantages

1. The image quality produced by this HP all in one printer is above average. The pictures that come, are what I can say as like those that come out from photo labs. The only difference is that you can print in the comfort of your own home.

2. What I love most about this all in one, is that it has a LightScribe drive that lets you save your data or copy data from the memory cards and USB flash disks onto a CD or a DVD.

3. Another innovation from HP is the dual paper tray system. This way the user can manually select which paper size to use for each print job. This removes the hassle of having to replace the paper each time you need a different size. The best part is that the printer can automatically select which tray to use depending on the print job.

4. The text printing is also very great. Upon close inspection there is no fuzziness or haze around the characters at all. Unlike other inkjet printers it does not have the blurriness around the edges.

Though this is a great product, I see some downsides to it.

HP All-in-One-Printer (Photosmart C8180) Disadvantages

1. For office equipment they should have included a fax capability to it.

2. Another thing is that the pictures takes abit long to print. This however can be countered by the above average photo printing capability of the device.

This HP all-in-one office equipment is highly recommended for efficiency and high quality outputs. I rate it as a very good all in one device. It can do more than what is expected of it with slow printing speed as its only significant downside. Other than that, if you want high quality prints, then this is what you need.

HP is the way to go
by: Brian R. Callahan

20 Years ago I used several HP printers with great success. This is when these products were in there infancy. Some how along the way I started using the Dell products and I have been routinely disappointed. So today, I am back using the HP proucts and love them as there never any issues, problems.
