The Samsung CLP-315 Color Laser Printer is intended for personal home use. The elegant polished black body with round corners matches any desk, in fact for me it is one of the best looking printers I have seen in terms of appearance.

What I like about it is its 150 sheet capable input tray. It keeps the papers crisp without causing the paper to bend while printing. The paper comes out as flat as the way it came in. Refilling the Samsung CLP-315 was fairly easy. The cartridges are amounted on the front of the laser printer. This way you will not have to go around just having its cartridges replaced.

1. The quality of the prints from this Samsung color laser printer is very good. The text prints are dark and clear, you will only notice the small haze around the text if you would look at it very close.

On the color print quality, the darker hues are just a bit too dark. It makes the image with dark colors a bit gloomy. Maybe it is because it is optimized for printing dark text. Still, even when the color prints are a tad dark, the images are still crisp and vivid.

2. I found the printing cost very reasonable, since it can deliver quality prints. The text prints are dark with little or almost no fuzziness at all.

3. Plus the laser printing is really quiet, unlike the other printers I have used.

Samsung CLP-315 Color Laser Printer Disadvantage

1. I wish this Samsung color laser printer was fully automatic in its duplex printing. Not that I am complaining, because I still like the manual duplex since it has not jammed on me before.

2. I only have a problem with its printing speed. The specifications say that the printing speed was 17 ppm, but I felt that it was performing just a little bit less than the 17 ppm. It also has quite a long start up time before printing. If you were to print color images on this printer though, it takes at least two to three pages per minute.

All in all I am happy with my Samsung CLP-315. I like the sleek, shiny black finish, the smooth rounded corners make it a compact device. What I really liked about this Samsung printer is its simplicity. It is such a simple machine with a modest layout and yet its very simplicity makes it a winner.

The speed is fairly good, though the long start up is quite noticeable if you were to print just two or three pages. Although in my opinion, it will be more suited to printing large volumes of printing. So if you would want a printer that is worth its price, then the Samsung CLP-315 is for you.
